West Hurley, NY

Please name your RCP or the reason you want to join the RCP Network

I have been working as a landscape ecologist and geospatial engineer for 25 years, serving as a conservation planner and natural resource specialist to many Hudson Valley municipalities, volunteer groups and resource agencies.

What has your RCP or organization done that others will be interested in learning?

Integrating invasive species management into conservation models (ala NYS PRISM formats) and performing technology transfer, outreach and training to various citizen scientist groups, ECCs and CACS; enhancing regional insight, engagement and understanding of biodiversity, water and conservation issues.

What are you interested in working on with other members of the RCP Network?

  • Hi Katie, many thanks. And yes, please, I would be interested in knowing more about the H2H RCP (I grew up and attended college in CT did my grad work in the Housatonic region). And yes please also on the 02/04/20 meeting.  Best, John

  • Hi John and welcome! How did you hear about the RCP Network? Your background and experience would certainly be an asset to this network and nearby RCPs. I coordinate the Hudson to Housatonic RCP (H2H). If you're interested in learning more, you can check out our website here: http://h2hrcp.org/. We also have an all partner meeting coming up on February 4th. If you're interested I can send you more information! Again, great to have you as part of the network!
