RIWP strives to increase the impact of forest conservation measures through education and information sharing.”

Previous Projects/Accomplishments:

  • Completion of 2017-21 Strategic Plan, which was subsequently recognized with a Rhode Island Smart Growth Award
  • Awarded "Forestry for Rhode Island's Birds" NRCS State Conservation Innovation Grant ($30k matching grant for $60k project over 2017-2020)
  • Collaborated to develop position statements on "The Importance of Rhode Island's Forests in Mitigating and Adapting to Climate Change" and "Preventing the Loss of Rhode Island's Forests," with related outreach efforts
