Are any RCP's in New England using open standards for conservation?
Open Standards is a planning, monitoring and management process and software platform for large scale conservation.
It consolidates a lot of the best practices and tools in conservation planning and is supported by a software platform for planning and monitoring of conservation initiatives.
The tools focus on 3 questions:
  • Are we achieving an impact?
  • Are we doing the right things?
  • Are we doing them well?

The Miradi platform itself seems like it would be useful for RCP campaigns because each member could plug in their own conservation outputs and outcomes which could be aggregated by the RCP to show progress toward the regional conservation action plan.

Miradi - a Swahili word meaning "project" or "goal" - is a user-friendly program that allows nature conservation practitioners to design, manage, monitor, and learn from their projects to more effectively meet their conservation goals.
